Do I need to do a loading phase?
No. Current research shows daily 5g intake reaches the same muscle saturation in 3 to 4 weeks as a 20g loading phase reaches in 5 days. Loading is optional and can cause GI discomfort — we recommend skipping it.
Will this cause water retention or bloat?
Creatine pulls water into muscle cells, which is part of how it works. Some users notice a slight scale-weight increase in the first 1 to 2 weeks (this is muscle hydration, not fat). Subcutaneous bloat is uncommon at 5g daily dosing.
